About

My IT career launched in the late 1990s, updating databases to accommodate four-digit years in date fields (remember the dreaded Y2K bug?)

With a background in journalism and desktop publishing, I transitioned into web design and later web applications in the 2000s – merging my design and database experience to create marketing and engagement solutions for small businesses and independent schools.

I have worked with a range of clients, from non-profit to government agencies, to provide a full spectrum of infrastructure (hardware, backups, security) and application (databases, websites, social media branding) strategy.

My home base is Portland, Oregon, and my customers span the United States. Consultations can be in person or remote, and I frequently travel to the east coast.
